We make our Hardwood Flooring Spline (Slip Tongue) out of Poplar, to fit 3/4" thick solid, hardwood flooring that has 1/4" tongue and groove (NOFMA Standard).   It's perfect when installing decorative borders like our Feature Strip and intricate patterns like Herringbone and Chevron flooring and especially convenient when changing the tongue direction of a floor during installation.

Ipe or Brazilian Walnut finishes to a medium to dark brown. It is a wood that does exhibit a degree of color change so be aware that the brown color may take some time to establish itself.

Peruvian Walnut commonly known as Nogal is a rich chocolate brown colored wood that has become the benchmark for featurestrip. We are careful to use only consistent brown wood, without the 'silver-streak' found in some suppliers material. For truly color graded Peruvian Walnut look no further.
